Growing under the influence of my father as role model, watching him manage construction sites in Dubai and growing up in India and being immersed in the thousands of years of architectural legacy, it was near impossible to not pursue the path of design when it was my turn to choose. Through the years that interest has grown to a deep rooted passion to see a positive change in the world by creating positive spaces. I am most interested in the aspect of story telling through spaces and how that story can in turn direct the users, the community and the society to greater changes.
After completing my bachelor’s in architecture from India, I worked for a year in India working on cost effective, sustainable and vernacular projects in Kerala, India before deciding to further my studies. I graduated with my Masters from Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), GA before moving to New York to realize my passion into my career. I have over 5 years of experience working on a wide range of projects from Libraries, Community & Performing Art Centers, Multifamily Condominiums, Townhouse developments, churches, warehouses, commercial projects and many more.
My extensive career as Job Captain and Project Manager at DCAK-MSA as well as my current role as Project Designer at Solutions have made me well versed in all stages of project, from writing proposal, developing designs & construction documents to construction administration and site coordination and everything else in between. I find great joy in resolving issues and bringing creative solutions that always keep the client at the forefront while ensuring it creates a nurturing and welcoming space. My experience in design- build projects have also helped me develop a good rapport with contractors and consultants and I love assisting in bringing the key players together and making a project, a design and a story a reality.
