Architectual Planning & Design

Project Planning– “Your EXPERT resource for all SOLUTIONS”

For ANY project, no matter how big, or how small, the only true way for the Solutions Team to understand what you are looking to accomplish is to have “conversations” with the key personnel involved in the particular “need at hand”. With each project request, the Solutions Team will work with district representatives and “listen” to your goals and “hear” your concerns about each aspect of the proposed project.

Determining Your Needs & Options - "You Talk - We Listen"

» Meet with Administrators, facilities personnel and faculty members and consider all opinions, ideas, concerns or “is it possibles”.
» Understand your expectations and consider our plan of attack: developing budget, alternatives and eligibility for funding.

Review Existing Conditions / Documentation

» Review existing drawings, FACILITIES MASTER PLAN reports, conduct SITE VISITS and FACILITIES ASSESSMENTS.
» Understanding the existing structures and sites, construction materials and mechanical / electrical systems allows us to accurately plan for their modification - this also includes understanding the potential for hazardous materials.

Program Development & Concept and Design - "Let's Brainstorm"

» Creation of BASIS OF DESIGN, scope of work/options based upon, NEEDS ASSESSMENT + BUDGET + EXPECTATIONS. DETERMINE POTENTIAL IMPACTS ON OCCUPIED FACILITIES
» COMMUNICATION between architect and “key players” - reinforce NEEDS through CONCEPT.

Concept Approval → Schematic Design Phase

» Based upon concept approval - DEVELOP SCHEMATIC DESIGN DOCUMENTS - further define the scope of work including the project scale and relationship to project components.
» Prepare drawings, outline technical specifications, deliverables schedule, and reconciled budget estimate for approval.
