Getting a Handle on School Security & Safety

17 January 2019

Today, at the invitation of the Bergen County Association of School Business Officials (BCASBO), Solutions Architecture held an informational seminar that included members of local law enforcement, security experts, members of the Transportation Security Administration and local school business officials. The event was geared toward providing facts and debunking myths, and bringing unfamiliar issues into focus.

With each new incident, a spotlight is shined on superintendents and boards of education who are faced with having to deliver the right message and provide the right measures that will ensure parents, students and staff feel safe. A large part of the presentation was focused on the relationship between local law enforcement and the School District and urged school officials to, “Take their time evaluate and implement measures that will last far beyond the latest and immediate crisis phase.”
