Working with Frank Messineo and the team at Solutions Architecture was a fun, successful and rewarding experience. Frank was able to make our vision a reality with his expertise, patience in guiding us through some very difficult decisions. I was thrilled that he was able to see the vision we had for and so elegantly leveraged the existing building in creating our "new" library. Feedback from the public has been fantastic!

Gold Medal For Oak Knoll School
At the 2011 AIA Newark Suburban Design Awards, held at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Solutions Architecture won a Gold Medal for a Campus Chapel and Black Box Theater Design, in the Un-built Non-Residential Category. The new Campus Chapel and Black Box Theater is proposed for the Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child in Summit, NJ. The new building, a performing arts addition to the campus, needed to be carefully designed and located to fit within the existing campus. By creating an enclosed corridor we created a visual and physical connection to the building and campus, while also creating a safe “interior” courtyard/lobby for students and for potential events, which also serves the main functions, the Black Box Theatre and Campus Chapel. The designs for the awards were reviewed by a Panel of Notable Architects, and they awarded the Campus Chapel and Black Box Theater design a gold medal due to its careful attention to the placement of the building in the Campus, and its positive affect on the Campus as a whole.
